Evaluation

During an evaluation, we will spend 25-30 minutes obtaining a detailed history of your current symptoms, as well as any relevant past history. We want to ensure a detailed evaluation and history as this is most important to creating a treatment plan. We will take measurements and look at form to help monitor progress and to develop a tailored treatment plan based on your needs. Together, we will establish a plan of care and a schedule that works with your life. Postpartum or pelvic therapy may include internal assessment.

Follow-Up Session

Treatment sessions/follow-up appointments are one-on-one with the therapist. Treatments will include hands-on treatment, including manual therapy, and exercises targeting motor control and strengthening. You will also be provided with exercises to complete at home outside of treatment sessions to improve symptoms and get you back to normal life, pain-free. The number of follow-ups will vary, based on your need.

Wellness Visit

Wellness visits involve general screens for spine and upper and lower extremities. We will review your current exercise program and make suggestions for exercises to substitute/add, or areas that could help you function more efficiently. If you’ve had physical therapy before, we will do a general screen and check in to see how everything is progressing. Wellness visits are typically less frequent, typically quarterly or monthly . Think of it as a “tune up”!
